I  took these photos of Willa swinging and playing in my mom’s jungle garden recently. They make me happy because they bring to mind  idyllic moments of childhood - the feeling of freedom when swinging, the feel of the sun while running through the plants, the amazing colors found in nature. Life is complex and nobody’s childhood is perfect, but it is always a thrill to make images that reflect the the most buoyant moments of our lives.
